Remembering Bryant Stiles
It is with immeasurable sadness and grief that we inform you of the passing of our
colleague and friend, Bryant Stiles, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012
Bryant was a committed and dedicated public servant to the citizens of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky for more than 20 years via his volunteer fire service in his home county,
McLean County, State Fire/Rescue Training Area 3 Coordinator under the Kentucky Fire
Commission and Kentucky Community and Technical College System and most recently as
Division Director for the State Fire/Rescue Training and Director of the Kentucky
Office of Homeland Security Exercise Program.
Bryant s achievements are many and far-reaching. He was actively involved in local,
state, national and international organizations for the support and advancement of
the fire service and fire/rescue training. On July 31, 2012 at the Kentucky Firefighter
s Associations annual conference in Lexington, Kentucky, Bryant was inducted into
the Kentucky Firefighters Association Hall of Fame, surrounded by his family, friends
and colleagues.
Please keep his family, the McLean Co. Fire Department members and friends in your
thoughts and prayers as we must say good-bye to a loving and devoted husband, father,
grandfather, son and friend.
Bryant Stiles, you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.
