Virtual Fire Officer I & II trainings announced

The Kentucky Fire Commission is pleased to present virtual training classes for Fire Officer I and Fire Officer II along with offering IFSAC accredited certification testing for both classes.

These classes will be held 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. EDT June 1-6, 2020. View the course descriptions here.

Prerequisites include the following:

  • Officer I: IFSAC Accredited Firefighter I, IFSAC Accredited Firefighter II and IFSAC Accredited Fire Instructor I certifications
  • Officer II: IFSAC Accredited Firefighter I, IFSAC Accredited Firefighter II, IFSAC Accredited Fire Instructor I and IFSAC Accredited Fire Officer I certifications

Student accredited certifications will be checked prior to course admittance.

Students must have a web device with video capabilities and able to access the Zoom learning platform. Due to the complexities of this class, it is advised to use a desktop computer, laptop computer or tablet. A smartphone is not recommended. Students must remain in view of the camera for the entire class. Roll will be taken throughout the day.

Interested parties must have above information submitted prior to May 15, 2020. Class is limited to 16 participants. Once course maximums have been reached, a waiting list will be formed. Students will be notified via email of acceptance to class no later than May 18, 2020.
