KY Fire Information & Records Entry System rollout

Feb 25, 2020

As the Kentucky Fire Commission strives to continually improve the services we provide for the Fire Service in the Commonwealth, we are excited to announce the rollout and training of "KYFIRES".

The Kentucky Fire Information and Records Entry System is the future of records management not only for the Kentucky Fire Commission, but for every fire department in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. KYFIRES will now allow each individual firefighter in the Commonwealth to have immediate access to their own personal training records and certification certificates through the Acadis Public Portal which is a web-based data collection and retention system.

The Phase 1 rollout/training will be a process to allow up to two individuals from each fire department to be trained on the inner workings of the Public Portal and Training Entry modules of KYFIRES, so that they may return to their departments and train their own membership how to: (1) Access their personal records/certification and (2) Allow department permitted individuals to enter training records and create department reports.

Attached you will find a listing of the training dates, times, and locations in each State Fire Rescue Training Area. We ask that each department send two (2) representatives and each bring a laptop computer. If your department and/or representatives do not have access to a computer we will have a limited number of computers at each site. If you have any questions please contact Jeremy Rodgers at jeremy.rodgers@kctcs.edu or Marc Rudder at marc.rudder@kctcs.edu.
