New Virtual Learning Platform

May 29, 2020

Due to the need for virtual training to continue throughout the Commonwealth the Kentucky Fire Commission strives to provide the most quality product to the fire service.  SFRT has been operating on the limited time “free” Zoom platform provided for educational institutions up to the point.  In an effort to be able to provide a more stable and permanent solution for training the Fire Commission has contracted with Armstrong Communications to provided this solution.  The “MaxUC” platform will be the new platform although once the fire department members open the application it will operate the same and will have the same look as the Zoom that everyone is accustomed to.  We appreciate the cooperation and support of the fire service as we all work towards a productive “new normal”.

Beginning June 1, State Fire Rescue Training will be transitioning to  MaxUC. There are a number of Zoom classes that have been previously scheduled for June that will remain Zoom based.

It is advised to install the Armstrong software/app prior to your first class. This program may be downloaded at:

https://armstrongonewire.com/Support/Telephone/Articles/ManagingUnifiedVoice

under the Download MaxApps center.

Once the software is downloaded simply click the class link and you will be directed to the course.
