Re: AED Pickup Information – Owensboro
The Kentucky Fire Commission has scheduled an additional distribution point for fire departments awarded an AED for the FY2023 grant cycle. This distribution will ONLY be for fire departments located west of Elizabethtown.
Distribution will take place during the Bryant Stiles Officer School on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Owensboro Convention Center, located at 501 W 2nd St, Owensboro, KY 42301.
Departments wishing to pick up their AED during Officer School are required to schedule a pickup via emailing firegrants@kctcs.edu. No walk-in pickups will be allowed.
Departments will also need to ensure that all State Aid documentation is current. Please email your requests for this to fdstateaid@kctcs.edu.
A representative from your department must sign for the AED at the time of pickup. Representatives are not permitted to pick up or sign for AEDs awarded to departments they are not a member of.
Departments that were awarded an AED through this grant are also welcome to pick up their AED February 21 or February 22, 2023 at the Fire Commission office, located at 110 Cleveland Drive, Paris, KY 40361. Pickup times will be from 9am-3pm EST and no pre-scheduling is necessary to pick up at the Paris location.
