Free digital versions of this textbook are available through the Fire Commission’s IFSTA eLibrary grant. If you would like access to the eLibrary collection, please contact Ericka Cole at the email address above.

Students should review Chapters 7 – 10 prior to the first class session.

IFSTA Chief Officer 4th Edition Exam Prep (ISBN: 978-0-87939-645-9) or related app is strongly recommended. The Exam Prep is not available via the IFSTA eLibrary grant.

PLEASE NOTE:  This class requires a significant amount of work outside the classroom to prepare a Lesson Plan as part of the testing requirements.  Students should be sure to allow enough time during the stated timeframe of the course to meet these obligations. As a pilot course offering, some variability may exist and/or revisions made to future courses.

Please be considerate of others and do not sign-up for this class unless you are certain that you are able and also have the desire complete the entire class.  Although it is a “free” class, occupying a spot then cancelling within a few days of the start of class, will prevent someone else from being able to take the class.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
