Hybrid 150-Hour Recruit Class

State Fire Rescue Training District 9 is pleased to announce a hybrid 150-hour recurit class beginning in October 2021.

• The class is free of charge, except for the cost of an IFSTA Essentials of Fire Fighting 7th Edition book and workbook.
• Lectures will be conducted through the Zoom Platform on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm.
• Skill days will consist of one Saturday or Sunday a month in Morehead at the District 9 Training Center for 8 hours each session.
• Students will work through the IFSTA Essentials of Fire Fighting and IFSAC skill sheets during this course.  Completion of the course, will allow each student to obtain their
150- hour certification and be eligible to test for their Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Hazardous Materials Operations IFSAC accredited certifications.
• If you have new fire fighters looking for certification or fire fighters that are looking to advance their career and obtain IFSAC accredited certifications, this is the class to be a part of.
