IFSAC Firefighter I & II Certification Testing Changes

The Accredited Certification office will be transitioning to the 2024 NFPA 1010 Standard for Professional Qualifications for Firefighters on July 1, 2025. The transition will include updates to Firefighter I and II certification testing. If the testing process for either level has been started but not completed, please make every effort to complete both portions (skills and written) by June 30, 2025.

Beginning July 1, 2025, the written and skills for both levels must be completed under the 2024 NFPA 1010 Standard. The last skills test for Firefighter I and II prior to the change will be held on June 23-24, 2025, in Lexington.
