Individual KyFIRES Portal Access Enabled

For those departments which have submitted the Fire Department Personnel Spreadsheet in the past 12 months, individual personnel access to KyFIRES has now been enabled. This allows firefighters to access their own account to update contact information and view and print training records and certifications.  150- and 400-hour certificates are no longer being printed by the Fire Commission and mailed to the individual.

Members of your roster should have received a welcome email from the Acadis Portal Administrator listing their username and a link to finish setting up their account.  

Any department that has not yet submitted their information and would like their members to have the ability to access their account and personal records, the Fire Department Personnel Spreadsheet must be submitted to the Kentucky Fire Commission via kyfires@kctcs.edu no later than January 31, 2021. It is vital that this spreadsheet is completed exactly as the headers are outlined, and that the firefighter number is listed in 8-digit form (including preceding zeros), with the dash in between. Do not enter anything in the firefighter number box other than this 8-digit number with dash. It is also crucial that the email is correct for each firefighter.   

We have received many inquiries about accredited certification certificates being available on KyFIRES. IFSAC accredited certifications previously obtained by a firefighter are now in process of being uploaded to the individual’s account.
