Louisiana Wildland Fire Deployment Request

The Kentucky Fire Commission is compiling a list of available career personnel to deploy to Louisiana to aid local resources who are performing mitigation efforts of wildland fires across the state. Kentucky firefighters will provide coverage through backfill of Louisiana firehouses in local jurisdictions and respond to calls for service.

We are seeking information on the number of career firefighters, company officers and district chiefs (or higher) that your department would be available to deploy. Deployed parties must hold accredited certification to the Firefighter 1 & Firefighter 2 level. Deployed parties must have structural firefighting gear and SCBA and provide their own bedding and toiletries. Food will be provided.

A deployment date is unknown at this time.
