FY2025 Firefighter Survival, Firefighter Rescue & Flashover Full Classes - Schedule
The Kentucky Fire Commission, along with State Fire Rescue Training, is pleased to announce fiscal year 2025 scheduling for the full classes (classroom and skills) for Firefighter Survival, Firefighter Rescue, and Flashover. Offering a full-year schedule for these classes will provide numerous opportunities for firefighters across the Commonwealth to obtain full classes in these disciplines in a timetable that works best for them and their department. This fiscal year there will be at least 36 classes statewide in each of these courses. Firefighters can attend any session location.
Firefighter Survival & Rescue Full Classes - Schedule
Flashover Recognition Full Classes - Schedule
Please remember these are full-day classes; students will receive credit for classroom and skills. The student is expected to attend both the classroom portion and complete all skills to receive credit. Students only needing the classroom portion of any of these classes for certification may obtain training via the Fire Commission’s virtual platform. A list of scheduled virtual course offerings is posted on the Fire Commission website in the News & Events section under Upcoming Events.
All students wanting to attend the full-class offerings shall register through the SFRT district office that is offering the course. Each district office will handle their own registration. This will help the district plan for the number of students and props. Pre-registration is required and attendance is expected. If a student has registered and is unable to attend, the student shall contact the SFRT district office hosting the training to cancel.
Please remember that full classes of Firefighter Survival, Firefighter Rescue and Flashover will not be offered at regional fire schools beginning July 1, 2024.
