FY2025 Thermal Imaging Camera Grant Application Process Open

If your department is interested in applying for a Thermal Imaging Camera Grant to be awarded Fiscal Year 2025, here are the steps to access the application for the grant:

1.     Log into KyFIRES

2.     Select Webforms and Resources on the side menu bar

3.     Select WebForms

4.     Click on FY2025 Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) Grant Application

Note that applications may only be prepared and submitted by the Chief of the department or Administrator of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.

DEADLINE IS:  5:00pm EST, November 29, 2024

Our goal is to make sure every department throughout the Commonwealth has at least one camera within their department.  Grants will be awarded based on a date stamp return of the application, current number of cameras within your department, and review by the Grants Committee.  

If awarded a grant for a thermal imaging camera, your department will be responsible for purchasing the camera and submitting proof of purchase documents prior to reimbursement. Award recipients may be reimbursed up to $3250.00. 

KRS 95A.440 requires a two-year non-eligibility period.  If your department was awarded this grant in the past two fiscal years you ARE NOT eligible to apply at this time.
