IFSAC Airport Firefighter Standard Change

The Accredited Certification office will be transitioning to the 2024 NFPA 1010 Standard on Professional Qualifications for Firefighters, Chapter 8, Airport Firefighter on April 1, 2026. The transition will include updates to Airport Firefighter certification testing. 

If the testing process for this level has been started but not completed, please make every effort to complete both portions (skills and written) by March 31, 2026.

Beginning April 1, 2026, the written and skills for this level must be completed under the 2024 NFPA 1010 Standard.
