How to Apply

Each of the KCTCS colleges has an application process and entrance requirements which are approved by the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE). Students seeking information about the core requirements of the AAS Fire/Rescue Science Technology Degree should contact the Area Office serving their county.

Once a student declares that he/she is seeking a Fire/Rescue Science Technology Degree, he/she should meet with an academic advisor who will help the student complete an academic plan. The SFRT Area Coordinator will provide guidance on all of the core fire/rescue topics and the college's advisor will provide guidance on general education requirements and other relevant requirements of the college.
